I believe sometimes all we need is for someone to listen to us without judging to help find answers. In my office, the client is completely involved in determining the course of therapy. You can expect an initial session to be of gathering personal history, health history, and family of origin history. We will work together to see if we can begin to identify the problem and what you might want to do about the problem. We try to establish how we will know when this has been accomplished, how often to meet, as well as any arrangements for payment.
I am experienced and trained in trauma reprocessing, cognitive rehabilitation therapy, internal family systems, anxiety and mood disorders, post traumatic stress and faith development. I holds a Bachelors degree from Seattle Pacific University in Theology and a Masters degree from Whitworth University in Education, Guidance and Counseling.
I work with adolescents and adults, individually and within the family system. I uses holistic counseling methods and emphasizes Redecision Therapy, Choice Theory, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, Internal Family Systems, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and sensorimotor therapy.
