I help individuals and couples work on trauma, psychological and relational issues and behaviors so that they can resolve them and enrich their lives. I have been a clinical psychologist since the mid-eighties and I view our work together as a collaborative process. I will begin by learning about and understanding you and your problem and we will figure out together what has contributed to your difficulties. The next step is to create a treatment plan tailored to you and your goal/s. Treatment consists of resolving these difficulties and re-accessing joy and interest in life.
My approach is based on human development, EMDR, client-oriented, psychodynamic, somatic, systems psychotherapies, hypnosis, and biofeedback. My expertise includes the following: early/recent trauma; psychological issues such as relational problems, life transition or setbacks that occur through personal illness or catastrophes, and problems in identifying, managing and handling feelings.
I have been practicing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) since 1992 and it is an integral part of my clinical practice. I am author and editor of 2 books on EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Scripted Protocols: Basics and Special Situations and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Scripted Protocols: Special Populations.
