I believe that each of us has a deep supply of wisdom that we can use to heal our pain and solve our problems. I will work with you to tap into that wisdom, using the approach that is most comfortable and effective for you, always respecting and being open to learning about your cultural traditions. I specialize in healing of grief, trauma, or loss; relationship and communication skills for individuals and couples; personal growth and empowerment; and the integration of mind, body, and spirit, including alternatives to pharmaceutical treatment for psychological symptoms.

My primary techniques are cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Experiencing, and expressive arts techniques such as Touch Drawing, collage, sand tray, and journaling, according to what each client desires.

I have a personal practice of mindfulness meditation, which is not tied to any particular religion but helps me stay centered, grounded, and self-aware. The more I incorporate mindfulness into my work with clients, the more impressed I am with how it helps them gain perspective on their problems.

I conduct Expressive Arts groups to promote personal growth and insights and/or to work on specific therapeutic goals. Specific techniques may be Touch Drawing, collage, sand tray, etc. Depending on your needs and circumstances, I may charge you out of pocket (on a sliding scale) or bill your insurance. The next group will run from 8/30/2025 to 12/6/2025, every other Saturday, at times listed below. Interested participants will be required to have at least one individual session with me (paid out of pocket or by your insurance) to determine your fit for the group.
