I see therapy as an adventure in which people join with the therapist in exploration. This journey eventually leads to clarity about available choices. People as a rule, want to do better, and be better but lack the tools. My goal is to help people break problems down, embrace personal uniqueness, mourn losses which are often the result of trauma, gain new perspectives, develop skills and make clear, sometimes very different choices.
I have 30+ years of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, individually, as couples, or in families, in multiple settings. We look at how you see yourself, and how you manage your feelings and relationships. You don't have to be stuck with Anger, Anxiety, and Sadness.
While the work is serious, my clients and I laugh. We sort through complex issues, examine emotional needs, and attempt to create practical steps to change. Play Therapy, Sandplay Therapy, Thought Field Therapy, Attachment-based Therapy, Family and Couple Therapy, Parenting, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Effective Communication, Interpersonal Awareness, are offered.
