Hola! My name is Marilennis Cruz, LCSW-C, founder of Cultura Care Psychotherapy & Consulting Services where I provide virtual bi-lingual therapy for children through adults. I have been in the field for approximately 8 years. I strive to create an authentic, non-judgmental, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. My approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, honest and focused on helping people navigate stress, anxiety, life changes, relationships, personal growth, etc.
My approach to therapy is warm, easy-going, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can be yourself without judgment while working toward meaningful change at your own pace. I use culturally responsive and strengths-based approaches to help clients manage many life stressors.
As a first-generation Latina, born and raised in Montgomery County, creating a safe-space, specifically, for minorities or those whom are overlooked, to rest, heal, and grow has always been a long-term passion. I have experience working in domestic violence shelters, in-school therapy, court system, and legislative policy advocacy.
