I am a Licensed Professional Counselor located in NJ. I am also licensed in Texas and South Carolina. I have been providing mental health treatment for over 25 years. I utilize a collaborative approach to encourage my clients to explore their past and present life experiences and begin to understand how dysfunctional core beliefs have impacted their lives. Cognitive Behavioral techniques as well as EMDR assist us in exploring the past and identifying the overdeveloped, habitual and maladaptive patterns. The therapeutic relationship provides safety to allow a sense of empowerment to make healthy changes and lead a fulfilling life.
I offer individuals the opportunity to self-explore and identify the barriers that impede their growth. Barriers arise due to past experiences that impact the present. I utilize EMDR to access and process past trauma and DeTur techniques to manage additive urges and compulsive behaviors. Therapy is a journey of healing and achieving emotional well-being.
Collaboration, support, and healthy relationships are key components of my approach to therapy. I work with my clients to identify and process their emotions. I offer, individual and couples counseling as well as various evaluations. Change occurs within healthy relationships. Together we can build resilience through understanding.
