Finding the right therapist means finding both clinical expertise and someone you can be honest with. My ideal clients are adults ready to do real self-reflective work; people who want to understand themselves more deeply and make meaningful changes in their lives. I work with individuals navigating immigration stress, acculturation, and life transitions, as well as those exploring longstanding patterns in relationships and identity. I practice in both English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and welcome clients from Latino and immigrant communities. I am the author of Conducting Immigration Evaluations (Routledge, 2022).

My clinical training includes postdoctoral work in psychoanalysis at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center and the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis. That foundation shapes how I work — with attention to patterns, relationships, and the deeper story beneath the presenting problem.
