Hi I'm Marie, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Art Therapist and the owner of ArtStar: Creative Arts Lounge. I work primarily with female/non-binary identifying women and teens who feel overwhelmed by their thoughts and emotions, struggle with self-doubt, depression, anxiety or are in a stressful life transition. I offer tools to become more present and connected, get free of harsh self-judgment, find more balance in emotional regulation and move towards healing through the use of a variety of modalities that are catered to each clients needs. My work is trauma informed, and rooted in a feminist & social justice lens.

Art Therapy can help you move past stuck points into change. We will explore who you are, what you want in life, and how to get there. Through, both a verbal and non verbal process, we will help you to heal old wounds and liberate you from limiting beliefs, overwhelming emotions, and destructive thought patterns. No art experience is required to benefit.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a registered Art Therapist. I am currently accepting new clients through tele-health. Groups: I also offer creative based support groups for female identifying, non-binary women and teens online.

Creative Healing for Women Going Through Divorce

Over 6 wks, group meets for 90 min to use art, writing and mindfulness techniques to ease stress and reflect on what you want and need (and aspire to) as you step into the next chapter of your life. This is a support group and is a safe and supportive space for women/fem identifying people who are newly separated, divorcing (or in 1st year since their divorce) who want to feel less alone while learning various skills for emotional regulation. This group meets in 6wk chorts and provides a supportive space for female identifying teens to express themselves through facilitated therapeutic arts exercises designed to: support healthy self-esteem, reduce stress, practice mindful self care, establish a regular practice of writing, art making and self-reflection (This is a supportive and creative arts group, not a therapy group) .
