About
*I am not currently accepting new patients.* My professional experience has focused mostly on treating individuals suffering from eating disorders as well as individuals struggling with issues associated with obesity. However, I also have considerable experience working with people struggling with anxiety and depression. I enjoy helping people to gain a better understanding of their behaviors and how their behaviors impact their emotional and physical health. I treat patients mostly with a cognitive behavioral approach which is supported strongly by research.
I use cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) to help people become more aware of how their thoughts and behaviors impact their wellbeing. For example, when working with a patient struggling with eating, I may help them analyze their false beliefs regarding weight and shape and how those beliefs affect them.
I am a professor at a local college and see patients only one day a week- on Mondays. I just recently started accepting patients with BCBS. When calling to set up an appointment make sure to push #1 for general inquiries as I do not have a separate voice mail box. The office manager will direct your information to me.
