I am Maribel Mancillas, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing culturally appropriate psychotherapy for 15 years to a variety of vulnerable minority groups such as LGBTQ+ and Spanish speaking community. I work with both couples and individuals. Whether individual or couples work, we collaborate together to uncover patterns in thoughts and behaviors that do not serve you and stop you from living your life. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as a treatment modality; however, therapy is specific to the Client's needs.
I have experience in helping adults manage stress and anxiety as well as LGBTQ2+ related issues, relationship issues, trauma, and abuse. In therapy, I foster a safe space where life challenges and trauma are honored with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. It is a time when everything else is suspended and your feelings are the top priority.
I am passionate about addressing mental health stigma and normalizing mental health as a treatment for all. My goal is to provide insight and provide you with the tools you need to transition from struggling to thriving and creating meaningful change in your life.
