Hello, I'm Marianne. I've been providing online therapy for five years. My previous experience includes inpatient and outpatient care, group and individual therapy, and working closely with a psychiatrist. I find online therapy to be as effective as in-person and much more convenient for my clients. I am an independently licensed counselor in the state of Ohio (LPCC), which means I diagnose and treat. We will have a conversation that answers: What is bringing you to therapy at this time? What goals, in general, do you want to accomplish through therapy? We will talk about your background, where you grew up.
My greatest strength is creating a safe space for difficult conversations. I listen with empathy and respect, and when appropriate, I gently and directly challenge beliefs or patterns that are not conducive to good mental health. This provides you with a place to grow and heal.
Life's biggest challenges, such as job loss, divorce, loss of a loved one, legal and health issues, and even joyous occasions like welcoming a new baby to the family, can be overwhelming. We often cope with life's instabilities, anxiety, and/or depression for years until suddenly, we can't.
