Through an empathic, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic approach, I will focus on helping you understand what is getting in the way of you feeling more fulfilled in life. Perhaps you question your ability to sustain meaningful and lasting relationships. I believe therapy can help you develop a more authentic relationship with yourself, allowing you to be more clear in your communication with others. I have ample experience and enjoy working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and career concerns.

I specialize in relationship and couples concerns, as well as multicultural and LGBTQ issues. I completed the Couples Therapy Training Program at the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis. I completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at The George Washington University and worked several years for the Georgetown University's Counseling Center.

I work mainly from a psychodynamic perspective; my focus is on helping you understand your current symptoms and concerns by examining both current and early life experiences and problematic relationship patterns. I believe insight gained through this process can allow you to make healthier choices and improve the quality of your life.
