I have over 15 years working with children and teens who have experienced trauma. I enjoy working with this population to address anxiety, depression, family issues, self-image issues, and trauma. I also see children or teens who have chronic medical conditions and help them adjust to the changes of their lives now that they have this condition. I use evidenced based treatments to address the issues and meet every person where they are in the treatment process. I enjoy watching the progress that is made so that the children and adolescents see there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we can reach it together.
My experience includes working primarily with children and teens in foster care, schools, and hospitals. My areas of speciality include anxiety, depression, family conflict, ADHD, addiction, and coping with medical diagnoses. I have worked with children and teens who have been victims of abuse and neglect and overcoming that trauma.
I do not use a standard approach for every client, instead I will work with your child and you to determine what the best evidence based treatment approach is. I enjoy walking each step of the way with you and your child as they make progress in achieving the goals set for them.
