I have been working in the mental health field since 2012 and am passionate about partnering with clients (adults) who are seeking healing and the freedom to thrive in their lives, focusing on empowered boundaries, productive anger, self-compassion, and balancing acceptance and change. I have specialized experience and interest in working with older adults and caregivers, grief, trauma, chronic illness, pregnancy and parenting stress, family conflict, relationship distress, anxiety, low self-worth, and stress related to life transitions.
I value non-pathologizing therapeutic approaches such as Internal Family Systems ("parts work") and am committed to working within a framework of systemic oppression awareness.
In your first session, you can expect to be asked for your consent to share various pieces of information about your history and current hopes and intentions for therapy. You will also be given space for your questions and concerns. I tailor the therapeutic process to each person’s own pace and believe in "going slowly to get there faster."
