Inevitably in life we come to a point where we find ourselves in conflict, perhaps feeling lost, uncertain, paralyzed, misunderstood or isolated. I provide a warm, validating, safe, accepting, and non judgmental therapeutic environment in which we can, together, explore and come to understand what has been creating and contributing to the inner turmoil and distress you are experiencing. I approach clients with an unassuming and curious mind. Awareness of maladaptive patterns is especially helpful in breaking cycles of unhealthy behavior. I will help you to enjoy more satisfying relationships, resolve painful conflicts, and improve self-esteem, self-worth and emotional well-being.
I am a clinical psychologist with over twenty years experience, specializing in treating children, adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression/mood disorders, eating disorders/body image, addictions, co-dependency, marital problems and life transitions. I strive to promote a safe therapeutic setting in which you feel accepted.
I offer supervision and case consultation to interns and colleagues. Whether you are new to the field or seasoned, we often work in isolation and, at times, may feel anxious and uncertain about our skills. I strive to combine both technical feedback and learning with introspection and curiosity.
