Hi! My name is Maria Quadri. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling from University of Houston Clear Lake. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (79415) and a National Certified Counselor. I am very understanding and open about cultural identity and finding your own purpose in life. As a first generation S. Asian immigrant, I value cultural differences and that is what has molded me into the person that I have become today. My goal is to provide therapy in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. I will be someone that will listen. I am a firm believer that we pave our life's path and I am honored to be part of your journey.
I have experience working in a non-profit organization (school setting) and Intensive Outpatient Program for adults where I have worked with a wide variety of clientele including individuals, groups, and families. I have experience working with an extremely diverse population with a multitude of mental health and behavioral issues (anxiety, depression, etc)
My approach to counseling is integrative and client centered with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I am a firm believer that the client is the expert/narrator of their own lives and therefore is a key partner in the treatment planning process.
