I have the privilege of working with an array of clients here in our beautiful Lowcountry. I engage in collaborative goal-focused therapy to address symptoms of mood disorder, anxiety and situationally related symptoms. I believe in the strength, wisdom and potential in each of us. I view my clients through the lens of their strengths; we work together to utilize those strengths in realizing positive change. Clients work with me to set goals and to continually assess the effectiveness of the process.
I utilize cognitive behavioral techniques to address distorted thinking patterns and faulty assumptions. I integrate psychodynamic theory to understand aspects of attachment, sense of self and family of origin issues. I welcome clients dealing with life transitions, panic disorders, social anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief & loss, depression and life purpose questions.
