Most would say they do not have an addiction issue, however, we can become addicted to negative thoughts established over time, almost like an addiction. We can't help but feel hopeless, overwhelmed, incapable, etc because it's a pattern we've allowed ourselves to believe, therefore becoming a habit - becoming an addiction. Lets break those chains of addiction! It's time to start living!
I use CBT & strongly reference the importance of a Higher Power reflected in the 12-steps. I believe we were all created for a higher purpose, it's up to us to live up to it. It is difficult to do when we're battling our feelings and emotions that cloud the path we're meant to be on.
