I have experience and work with those that have undergone traumatic encounters. I believe that healing comes from addressing the traumas and confronting the difficulties that come from them, such as unhealthy boundaries and maladaptive coping. I utilize a mindfulness and strengths-based approach in addition to creating a stabilizing and safe environment to be able to process and deal with the emotions that result from the extremes of the traumas that we experience. I tend to use action, coaching-oriented skills focused on behavioral aspects (eg stress management, emotional regulation) to mitigate the impact on life & relationships.
I specialize with working with POC, women, young adults, and underserved communities. It is important for me to be able to help bring an engagement of health and healing to the Baltimore metro community and encourage growth to help change the way that we interact with the pain and hurt that we have experienced as a whole.
