This group is about recognizing strengths you already possess to handle change, in addition to learning new coping skills. This group is aimed to build members peer support for one another and increase your support network through all life's chaos and transitions. Group has not started yet, I will begin group when at least 3 people are interested & a time can be agreed upon. I like to meet with the group first to determine how many weeks it will run (min of 6 weeks), I will also tailor curriculum to address common issues the group may have. Butterfly Group (Women only Trauma Group)

This trauma group if facilitated by two Clinical social workers. The group is based in Narrative Exposure Therapy, a treatment for trauma disorders. It is understood that the story a person tells himself/herself about their life influences how the person perceives their experiences and wellbeing. Framing one's life story solely around the traumatic experiences leads to a feeling of persistent trauma/distress. By expressing the narrative, the patient fills in details of fragmentary memories and develops a coherent autobiographical story. In so doing, the memory of a traumatic episode is refined and understood. --Ten weeks longs, 90 minute sessions. questions- call/email.
