My name is Maria Ann Sands, LCSW and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in working with clients living with Anxiety Disorder, BiPolar Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder; who struggle with anxious, manic and depressive and depressive episodes. I provide a safe, nurturing environment, so clients may begin relaxation work for Anxiety Disorder. It also facilitates CBT used to challenge negative thoughts that fuel depression. I assess for duration of symptoms and possible need for medications. In our first sessions, you can expect to build rapport, give Hx and form tx plan. I use a bio/psycho/soc/spir perspective.
My specialties include Anxiety Disorder, Bi-Polar Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder. I use CBT, Relaxation techniques, Self-Affirmations and Journalling, to help my clients.
I use various therapies and techniques to help my clients to reach a place of self actualization. My goal is to assist my clients in building self-esteem and in finding peace and happiness in their lives.i am an active, attentive listener.
