Learning to meet our needs, while balancing the needs of others, can feel like a never ending challenge. What works for a friend, may not work for you. When you enter counseling, you need someone whom you feel safe with. My goal is to walk alongside you through the challenges of life to help you find what works best for you. Counseling should be a source of hope and help. Whether with me or another counselor, I hope you find the help and healing you need.

From my perspective, it's most helpful to use evidence-based practices such as EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Person-Centered Therapy, Habit Reversal Training, and creative techniques like art. My approach is trauma-informed, acknowledging that each human’s experience in life is different and difficult.

How wild that humans still have the capacity for hope and joy in the midst of difficult circumstances.
