Feeling anxious, confused, or want more from your life?Thoughts and feelings can be overwhelming, especially when it feels like you are going in circles. If you want help you've come to the right place. In my sunny and warm office we find ways to weave fun and play into our sessions, even when we are dealing with difficult material. Using Art Therapy EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and Hypnotherapy we work on ways to make more sense of your life in a way that makes sense to you. This often brings relief and clarity.
Specializing in creativity and trauma, my goal is to help you find relief and regulation. Often trauma, or the experience of being overwhelmed, affects development, relationships, and life progressions. When you can unpack what you have been holding for too long in a safe, comfortable environment there is transformation.
Office is located in Grand Central area (42nd and Lex). You can use your insurance if you have out of network benefits. I also offer a sliding fee scale on an as needed basis. Sessions are either 45 or 60 minute therapy hours, dependent on modality. No Cigna patients till 2018.

Mari Grande's Groups

Daughters of Critical Mothers - New Online Version

Daughters of Critical Mothers (DOCM) is a group comprised of adult daughters who have been adversely affected by their relationship with early caretakers. DOCM Holding is the online version of the group. The focus is not entirely on being a DOCM, but a place to be helped and held each other, while also unpacking difficult feelings. DOCM is meant to create a healing space to evolve from shared experiences, support, and understanding as we travel through healing experiences together. We will be using prompts, such as writing, art making and movement as needed. Please contact me for more information
