I have about 12 years of experience working primarily in the areas of anxiety, depression, stress management, family/relationship issues, and parenting. I graduated with my Master's in Counseling from the University of North Dakota, and I am currently licensed in North Carolina, Colorado, and Connecticut. I believe in meeting clients where they are, regardless of success or setbacks, and celebrating those small victories and providing encouragement along the way. My therapeutic approach is prided in offering a supportive atmosphere where a client is heard.
My preferred focus population is adult clients with anxiety, depression, family/relationship issues, parenting challenges, and/or stress management issues. A therapeutic approach that is determined best fit based on the client's needs will be used as a focal point.
My communication style is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental. However, for those clients who need a bit more of a push, I can offer a more direct approach while maintaining the other styles.
