About
If you are reading this, you have taken the first step towards change, great job! I believe the therapeutic relationship should provide a safe place to explore the relationship to self. While doing this, you can embrace, challenge, process, and reflect on your thoughts and feelings. We can work together to understand and move past stressors from life transitions, relationships, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Much of my experience has been counseling with active-duty military, veterans, their families, and first responders, helping them cope with the unique cultural stressors that arise with these roles.
MUV Counseling offers office based services, online counseling/ tele therapy, as well as Walk + Talk therapy. Walk + Talk takes your session out of the traditional setting getting us outside. Walk + Talk therapy helps reduce fear, anxiety, and feelings of intimidation some may feel when coming into an office for therapy.
As a therapist, I have a genuinely compassionate approach while also being direct. I use a person-centered approach and culturally sensitive treatments to build a truly unique therapeutic experience. I am trained in: cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths-based approach, solution-focused brief therapy, and mindfulness therapy.
