Therapy is a collaboration between me and you, where we both participate in helping you feel better. It is not a quick process, but I am dedicated to putting in the time and effort you deserve. I became a therapist because I believe there is always hope in difficult situations. There are many different things that can make life hard; addiction, divorce, death, trauma, relationships, loss, mental illness, parenting a teen, simply being a teenager. My specialties are working with teenagers, adults, and people affected by addiction as well as anxiety and depression. I also help parents develop skills to support their teen.
Addiction treatment can mean so many things; an addict receiving treatment, helping an affected child, learning to take care of yourself as a family member, letting go, grieving. At times you may feel hopeless, confused, scared, or angry, and this is normal. I can help you find your way through these situations and lead a happy productive life.
I have been working with teenagers, adults, and families for over 30 years. Because of different stages of life or experiences, it can be very difficult for all involved to negotiate their troubles. I have helped many people in these situations heal, and I believe that together we can create a similar change in your life.
