I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I have enjoyed practicing for 20 years. I work with adolescents, young adults, older adults, couples, and Families who are going through life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and chronic medical issues, to name a few.
The theoretical approaches I use most are Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviorally Informed Therapy (DBT), and Family Systems Therapy. I tend to interchange aspects of these approaches to tailor the work to a client's needs.
I work to create a warm and welcoming environment where people feel safe to establish a strong rapport with me. However, I am not a therapist who is quiet, sitting on the sidelines quietly. I ask lots of questions and I use humor where appropriate.
