Margie Slater, PsyD, Psychologist in Encino
I specialize in treating adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders, pregnancy and motherhood, relationship problems, identity concerns, depression and anxiety. Through psychotherapy, I will get to know you and the issues you would like my support and guidance to work through. Beginning psychotherapy can be a difficult and scary process and we will develop a safe, supportive, and trusting relationship in order to do this meaningful and challenging work.
I completed two years of psychoanalytic psychotherapy training at the Wright Institute Los Angeles, which culminated in obtaining a certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. I am also currently a student in the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program at the New Center for Psychoanalysis.
I am interested in helping you face your current struggles with healthier coping skills and a deeper understanding of how your unique history affects your life today. I approach each person with nonjudgmental curiosity and will help you to develop this curiosity about yourself as well.
