I am a health psychologist with 23 years of experience in hospital and private practice settings. I expertly help people cope with chronic pain, anxiety, depression, migraines, GI disorders, eating disorders, and sports injury. I have helped hundreds of clients cope with challenging, complex medical and emotional issues. Through our work, you will develop a deep understanding of how your mental and physical health interact, and how together they impact your mood, relationships and overall functioning. You will discover very specific ways to cope with your emotional and health issues, and you will achieve positive changes.
I make quick connections and immediately make clients feel at ease. I use CBT and ACT, and we will work collaboratively. My clients love: (1) that I provide feedback in every session; (2) how I will listen very attentively but also share my thoughts; (3) my understanding of medical and health issues and (4) that our work will be outcome and goal oriented.
I graduated from Columbia and Einstein College of Medicine, and was a Harvard Medical School fellow. I have speciality training in pain management, oncology, GI psychology, eating disorders and sports injury. I am certified in CBT and ACT, am a nationally certified health service psychologist, and am listed on the US Olympic Team Mental Health Registry.
