Hello! My name is Margaret and I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. My work is tailored to the individual client and integrates multiple modalities based on their specific needs. My job is not to fix or change people, but to facilitate a growth process in which clients can become more aligned with themselves, heal pain from the past or present, and explore and affirm what lies within. I firmly believe that even my youngest of clients are the expert on their own lived experience, and that much of my work is to help them see more clearly the potential and strength that was there before they even began therapy.
Through a relational and client centered framework I help clients process past trauma, work on coping skills, explore relationship dynamics, and help heal past and current emotional distress. My hope is that my clients feel both affirmed and autonomous in their therapy, and that the therapy space is one in which they are fully seen, heard, and accepted.
My therapeutic style is a mix of warm and fuzzy, sarcastic and goofy, with a solid foundation of authentic presence and unconditional positive regard. I love working with children, parents of young children, and individuals navigating life transitions at a variety of developmental stages from tweens to 20 somethings.
