Children and teens come to my office because they seem withdrawn, anxious, are acting out, or become easily upset by things that didn’t bother them before. Sometimes this happens after a big life change or scary event. In other situations, there is no specific reason why your child is acting this way but you know you need more support. Whether you are seeking counseling to support your child in processing a specific life change/event, or you are just wanting to support them in finding more peace and calm in their lives, we will work together to sort through it all.
In play therapy, we use toys, art, and movement to help your child process big feelings and build self-esteem. Teens are invited to get creative through sandtray and art. While art and play are always available, talking is welcome too! My specialty areas include trauma and anxiety. Specialty areas include EMDR and play therapy.
