I want to start off by saying kudos to you for putting yourself out here and looking for a therapist. Starting can be one of the hardest steps. My name is Maggie, and I am a licensed clinical social worker. As a social worker I have worked in many different settings that have allowed me the honor and privilege of hearing people's stories. I have gotten pretty good at helping others navigate and understand their own journey and determine where they want to go next. You know yourself better than anyone. It's my job to help you listen to yourself and develop a plan of how you will move forward in this life with confidence and strength.
I like to use a collaborative, strengths-based, holistic approach based in CBT, SFBT, and Narrative Therapy. This simply means I focus on you. We learn together your strengths and how you can use them in new ways. I will challenge you to view yourself and others in new ways. I will encourage you to try new things. And yes, I will even give you homework.
