About
Grieving the death of a loved one is among the most challenging and layered experiences imaginable. While sadness is a near universal response, sometimes deep grieving becomes too painful and confusing to bear alone, and a skillful guide can help you understand, embrace, and appreciate the intensity of your loss. I am a grief counselor with decades of practice offering support and guidance to those who are facing the challenging effects of bereavement.
I view grieving as a powerful and often overlooked life experience that can, when approached with courageous compassion, transform isolation and despair into meaningful connection, understanding and renewal. However, since we all know our culture prides itself on independence and resiliency, it can be difficult to reach out for help.
We may try to subdue or conceal normal reactions to loss, such as unpredictable emotions, fatigue, shame and guilt. Yet we need not endure grief alone. I invite you to trust your natural desire for support and reach out. Griefwork is a powerful path to peace, forgiveness, and a meaningful life. Contact me for an appointment. I look forward to being with you.
