Grief is perhaps the most challenging and inescapable of all life experiences. And, while there are many different kinds of loss the death of a loved one can take us to new levels of emotional, mental and spiritual challenge. The death of a loved one changes us forever. From within the space of confusing emotions and uncertainties we can feel lost and alone and it is then that we most want support and community. Navigating the many phases of loss and learning how to make meaning of what seems meaningless is hard work. I have been a grief counselor for over 20 years and look forward to supporting you as you gradually rediscover joy.
In meeting grief with the guidance of an experienced grief therapist you have the opportunity to grow into a deeper understanding of life and how to live it more meaningfully. During counseling meetings we combine practical grief management tools with examining attitudes, beliefs and emotions that either enhance or interfere with the healing process.
Contrary to many cultural beliefs sharing grief, along with empathic support, is the gateway that can reshape our values and priorities. Grief can be transformed from foe to loving friend; it is then that we move forward with a deeper wisdom and freedom. Please call or email me, I would love to support you.
