Are you feeling depressed, overwhelmed or anxious? Are you having trouble making decisions and moving forward with your life? I work with individuals to explore underlying issues and find solutions to your problems. Perhaps you are stressed and finding it difficult to engage in daily activities that were once simple. Or maybe you experienced a trauma (recent or during childhood) which remains unresolved. I will take you through the necessary steps to find resolution. If you are a victim of domestic violence, I have received training from the State of CT in working in this area. My practice is LGBTQ+ friendly.
Emotional stressors have a profound impact on the physical body. These are manifested through physical pain, difficulty sleeping and a host of other symptoms. I use a variety of techniques to address these issues including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, visualization and Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping) using an interpersonal approach.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in EFT (known as tapping or Emotional Freedom Technique). My work is "trauma informed" meaning that I pay particular attention to the impact of trauma on daily functioning. Psychological trauma may result from a single traumatic incident or the accumulation of many smaller incidents over time.
