Like many folks from the surrounding area, I too come from the harsh impoverished communities of New Mexico. I am New Mexican born and raised, so trust me, I know how hard it is out there. Understanding who you are and your place in the world is not easy. However, given the opportunity, I would like to help you navigate the greater depths of who you are as a person by heightening self-awareness through self-discovery.
I am trained in Person Centered Therapy, but also versed in existential, phenomenological, and didactic variations of therapy. Ask yourself: Who am I? What is my purpose? What does it mean to be human? I believe by seeking and finding answers to these types of deeper/abstract questions can help a person become and feel more whole about themselves.
The goal of Person Centered Therapy is to help clients understand the power and true nature of their human experience. Specifically, Person Centered Therapy is goal-oriented to help a person “self-actualize" as stated in the counseling literature. I am capable of working with clients ages 12 and up.
