With over 35 years of broad clinical experience, Ms. Solomon actively engages her clients' own wisdom and strengths in developing options and strategies to manage the challenges they face. Drawing on Affect and Script Theory and family systems theory, Ms. Solomon guides clients in identifying, understanding, managing and honoring their complex emotions such that they can more effectively express their needs. This is the cornerstone of therapy and of the blueprint for creating a life filled with more enjoyment and satisfaction and with less distress and other painful emotions.
Clients often seek therapy at an impasse with their spouse or partner, or with a child, parent, or sibling. . Others want to process the issues in a medical or work situation.. Whatever the motivation, Ms. Solomon believes that people seek therapy for an objective, calm, non-judgmental environment to sort out and developing possible solutions.
Couples work is a specialty. Some couples choose to use the Prepare-Enrich online assessment tool that identifies both strengths and growth areas. Ms. Solomon has been specially trained as a facilitator in this unique approach. Other couples choose traditional individual and/or couples sessions if that is more comfortable for them.
