These natural defensives are essential for dealing with threat. Protective impulses from the past can get stuck & intrude on relationships & on physical, emotional & spiritual rhythms of day-to-day life. I support you to feel safe & allow incomplete orienting & survival responses to move slowly & integrate fully. I work online & in Greenfield, MA.
I invite curiosity about the present moment, physical sensations & assumptions about self & others. Somatic (body) Experiencing supports connection here/now. Your system discharges survival energy for more ease, makes sense of the past & engages more fully. Deep Brain Reorienting allows a deep awareness of presence & step-by-step renegotiation of shock.
Session are influenced by decades of experience with expressive arts and Buddhist practice and by my own healing, advocacy and leadership in peer support and community building. My practice is informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems Therapy.
