We live in unprecedented times of politically-related suffering, climate crisis, and corporate greed that can leave us overwhelmed and deeply concerned for the future. Your unique personal struggles occur within this context. You may find yourself anxious, depressed, disillusioned, angry; many feel guilty accessing help when others are suffering worldwide. For over 25 years I’ve offered a non-judgmental and compassionate space where you can come back to center and envision-and realize-a self-honoring life.
I help you gain insight into your unhelpful patterns, develop self-compassion, and make concrete, self-honoring changes. I work with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders/binge eating, and more. I specialize in therapy for therapists and, having been a college professor, have unique expertise in working with professors and academics.
I work with individuals, couples, and families and will offer Climate-Conscious Group Therapy if there is sufficient interest. I received my undergraduate degree from Harvard and my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). I hold licenses in Washington and California and practice in both states.

Climate-Conscious Therapy
This group is geared toward those struggling with the anxiety and grief we feel as we witness devastating images of environmental harm and climate crisis, including wildfires and drought, severe weather events, melting polar ice caps, and more. We will focus on how to cope with the pain that arises via positive self-care, mindfulness practices, and exercises designed to get you back in touch with your connection to the Earth.
