I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over forty years of experience working with children, adolescents, parents, families, couples, and adults. I am now focusing my work solely on wellness programming, facilitating Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Groups, Mindfulness Meditation, Mindful Parenting and Grandparenting classes, and Gentle Yoga Classes for Stress and Anxiety Reduction. In addition to providing wellness programming for families and individuals of all age groups at the office, I also offer outreach wellness programming to the local community.
I maintain a focus on the mind-body connection by integrating my background in nursing, special education, school psychology, and clinical psychology, along with my mindfulness and yoga teacher training. My integrative background allows me to bring a complete and holistic approach to work with class participants.
I believe my background makes me uniquely qualified to offer Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Groups, Mindfulness Classes, and Gentle Yoga classes for Stress and Anxiety Reduction to enhance wellness for participants both in small group settings and in larger settings at the workplace. During the Pandemic I am offering MBSR & Mindfulness classes via Zoom.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

MBSR is an educational approach which uses training in mindfulness meditation as the core of a program to teach participants how to better care for themselves and live healthier lives. Research has indicated that participation in an 8-week MBSR program appears to make measurable changes in the parts of the brain associated with memory, sense of self, empathy, and stress. Research has also indicated that mindfulness meditation can hep relieve symptoms of stress, anxiety, and insomnia.
