I enjoy working with individual adults and couples. I meet my clients with warmth and acceptance, and provide a safe, calm, and grounding space that supports them in dealing with issues such as grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety and depression, distance or conflict in relationships, developing personal identity, working through trauma, and parenting issues.
The attachment framework found in Emotionally Focused Therapy undergirds my work. I believe we are all built for connection, and that our early attachment experiences mark our ways of relating to others, and to ourselves. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral and Mindfulness techniques in my work.
I am married with two adult sons, and have 20-plus years of experience working with youth and families. I appreciate differences, and enjoy working with people of many backgrounds and worldviews. If you want to include your spirituality in therapy, I am happy to do that.
