In private practice, I enjoy seeing women, men, & young adults for individual or couples therapy. I have training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, feminist therapy, and Gottman Couple’s Therapy Level 2. I am comfortable treating people struggling with a variety of issues, including: depression; anxiety; trauma; grief; adjusting to life stages; gay & lesbian issues; and communication issues. I have been a psychotherapist since 1996. My first masters degree is in speech/language pathology & I have been an SLP for 35 years, working in the public schools for 13 years. To me, psychotherapy and speech/language are the perfect blend.
As a psychotherapist & SLP, I’m interested in the message people are trying to express, working with people to decode what's trying to be conveyed so understanding can happen. I have over two decades of experience working with couples to identify core issues & work toward resolution. I also work with people as they move toward successful retirement.
Unique services I offer include; working with people who have chronic pain &/or gastric issues, psychotherapy for people who stutter or have communication disorders, & treatment for people struggling with underperformance issues in work or academically. I also see athletes who have underlying issues affecting their athletic performance.
