I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with 21 years of experience in the mental health field. I have a diverse and extensive background in the helping profession, and I have had the privilege of helping individuals and families achieve a variety of treatment goals. I consider the person as a whole, including biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of who they are, as I help them address a myriad of symptoms related to anxiety, panic disorder, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and stress-related disorders.
I completed my Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology at the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth. I am also a Master of Addictions Counselor (MAC). I am a family man and Christian with ample experience in working hard while still enjoying day-to-day life. This allows me to best relate to and appreciate all of the individuals I help.
I utilize a variety of treatment approaches in this process, including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), mindfulness and relaxation practices, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention planning, stress management skills building, and rapport building. I am passionate about helping people who are looking to address difficult areas of their life.
