In my experience, a person who seeks therapy wants solutions that work. And since two heads are better than one, I believe an effective therapeutic alliance can help people attain the happiness and fulfillment they desire. When a safe and trusting environment is established, people can learn to value themselves, develop healthy relationships and heal from painful experiences.
My therapy style is direct and active. I rely on honesty and authenticity in therapy to guide our collaborative efforts. Therapy can only be successful when the client and therapist have a good working relationship and the client participates fully.
My therapy approach combines Cognitive-Behavioral and Solution-Focused interventions with Humanistic/Existential theory. I believe that effective communication is required in therapy to identifying the core problems and explore meaningful solutions. Through this approach, I can guide clients towards healing and create many opportunities for growth.
I view people within a humanistic and phenomenological framework. Therapy is not about eliminating the inevitable problems of life but instead, how to cope effectively with them when they inevitably occur. My mission is to incorporate creative strategies in therapy that helps my clients' ability to actively improve their lives.
