Hello! My name is Mara. I'm a Licensed Masters Social Worker with over 5 years experience working in mental health. I was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. I understand the importance of providing an inclusive, nonjudgemental space for my fellow LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent folks. My goal is to cultivate a safe therapeutic practice with clients, to work through trauma, grow self-esteem and confidence, and build better relationships.
I have experience with religious trauma, mood and personality disorders, depression, anxiety, and self-harm, as well as divorce, parenting, and difficult family relationships. I use multiple modalities including dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
Come as you are, you are welcome here.
