I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor (LPCC-S), Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) counselor, and owner of Wild Roots Counseling Services. I specialize in working with women, particularly during pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, and other major life transitions. In 2021, I earned my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International, and each year I help obtain the North Dakota Governor’s Proclamation recognizing Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week in May. Advocacy and increasing awareness of perinatal mental health have become an important part of my work.
I draw from person-centered and client-centered approaches while incorporating evidence-based and trauma-informed practices, including EMDR, CPT, CBT, DBT, and elements of IFS. My other areas of clinical focus include trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship concerns, self-esteem, stress, parenting, career, and life transitions.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized. Above all, I believe therapy is about more than simply reducing symptoms. It’s an opportunity to better understand where we’ve come from, recognize the experiences and patterns that have shaped us, and decide what we want to carry forward as we grow.
