At Empowered Counseling, LLC., we inspire empowerment by allowing our clients to be their true authentic self. I work with children as young as 3 years old and those through adulthood to work through the thoughts and situations that have brought them into my office. I treat individuals, not the disorder.
Treating the individual instead of the disorder helps me get to the root of the problem at hand. With trauma, adjustment disorders (divorce, parents splitting, a new school, etc.) and personality disorders, we know that an underlying problem is at the root cause of the disorder. I also have experience working hands on with Autism for over 16 years.
Being an ex-military spouse, with children who are ADHD and on the Autism Spectrum, I know how hard moves and new schools can be, making new friends, learning coping skills to help when you are mad and frustrated or just over stimulated. I am here to help you make a significant and meaningful change in yours and your families lives.
