My name is Mandy Browning, and I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in the states of Missouri and Arkansas. I have worked with clients of all ages, but since the pandemic hit, my primary clientele has been adults. I am a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I do place a degree of focus on the connection between our physical and mental health when I am working with clients.
I tend to be a pretty easy-going person and use humor as well. I try to be warm and supportive but will confront a client on unhealthy behaviors and thought patterns as well. I ask about what a client's goals are in the first session and let them know that if there is something we are doing/trying that isn't working for them, we can always change it and try something else. Therapy isn't a one size fits all; what works for one person may not work for another. I will work with my client to find out what works best for them.
