I am a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing sports and counseling therapy in Tallahassee, Jacksonville and throughout the state of Florida. I teach athletes at all competitive levels the secrets of the mental advantage. The programs are designed to help athletes to achieve their personal bests in both sports and life. I also work with trauma through brainspotting. Mandarin Cove sports and counseling recognizes that success comes from understanding and mastering our thoughts, emotions, energy and focus. At Mandarin Cove Sports and counseling, programs are customized helping clients to reach their peak performances.
As a high school athlete, coach in multiple sports, parent of athletes and professional sports therapist, I believe there is a systematic approach to attaining peak athletic performance which gives athletes an advantage over their competition. My philosophy produces competitive athletes who respond to competitive pressure with confidence, poise and consistency.
Athletes learn to self evaluate, focus, goal set, gain confidence and mental toughness skills, anxiety management, visualization skills, dealing with mistakes, playing in the zone and how to deal with a disappointing performance. I am also certified in brainspotting which helps athletes overcome Repetitive Sports Performance Problems otherwise known as the YIPS.
