Mandarin Counseling is a group practice consisting of licensed social workers, licensed mental health clinicians, PhDs, and licensed marriage and family therapists. We are dedicated to providing quality, professional and compassionate mental health services. We offer a variety of treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, play therapy, psychological testing, couples counseling, dialectical behavior therapy, solution focused and behavioral therapy. Groups
DBT group for teens aged 13-17
The goal of the group is to stop destructive behaviors by focusing on teaching the skills necessary to be able to cope with and change the unhealthy thoughts that lead to destruction. Teens will learn to balance acceptance and change, regulate emotional responses, and improve relationships. We will also focus on decreasing and managing stress related symptoms related to anxiety, depression, impulsivity, self harm, poor social skills and depression. The 4 major modules of Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness will be covered and if time allows, we may also review a 5th module, Walking the Middle Path.
