Reaching out is a hard step - and should be commended! I specialize in working with individuals who are experiencing struggles related to trauma histories, with a specialty in sexual assault/violence and child abuse; victims of violent crime, self-harm, high stress careers (attorneys, doctors, first responders, etc), suicidality, coping skills, and boundary setting. I additionally work with individuals experiencing the intersections of OCD, ADHD, and/or trauma.
I utilize a person-centered, neuroscience, & direct approach with humor mixed in as appropriate - I pull from and utilize various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including: EMDR, Trauma Informed, Somatic Work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), ACT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), strengths based perspectives, and motivational interviewing.
Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, & finding the right person and space matters. I believe you deserve care that makes room for all of you: the messy parts, the complicated parts, and the parts you’re still figuring out. You’re allowed to take up space, and - you deserve a space to feel seen, challenged, and fully yourself. I look forward to hearing from you!
